In this exhibition, DADAZ presents a series of paintings utilizing emojis standardized by Unicode. This exhibition explores the meaning and significance of symbols in virtual environments by adopting the structural features of emojis that people use in their daily lives. Through emojis as a medium of expression, DADAZ unravels complex emotions and hidden thoughts that anyone might experience.

All of DADAZ's artworks are fundamentally reliant on the satisfaction of the individual who owns them or uses them as a method of communication. While there are intriguing pieces in this emoji project that demand audience imagination and interpretation, DADAZ emphasizes that they don't necessarily need to be taken too seriously. Rather, the artist finds fulfillment in the viewer's sheer enjoyment of the artworks. DADAZ encourages audiences to appreciate the creations, akin to the unencumbered pleasure derived from the experience of music, unshackled by the necessity of literary comprehension.

The harmonious interplay of a flat color palette and skillfully balanced lines evokes a delightful compositional harmony reminiscent of masterful design. These inherent compositional qualities prioritize pleasurable appreciation over stringent rational understanding.

DADAZ's perspective on art distinctly diverges from the conventions of traditional artistry. The great artists of the past were always innovative figures somewhat disconnected from the public. In such historical context, the myth of the "tormented and lonely artist" emerged. However, in the present day, art remains resolute in its fidelity to the societal demands it serves. Art evolves, reflecting the profound impact of the 21st-century digital media era, thereby reshaping the very essence of art and the enigmatic artist.

Dadaz

DADAZ's work is characterized by the "eyes, nose, and mouth" motif. Three white lines are casually drawn downwards, with black rice-shaped dots on both sides representing pupils, stimulating imaginative expressions. This motif serves as a signature element in every picture. Another sculptural element is the "spell," a free curve arranged in one to five lines on the background of every screen. It's not a special sentence, but DADAZ’s spell is like an another language in a state of “trance." It contains DADAZ's warm heart, which thinks of the recipient of the picture(DADAZ Fam). Ultimately, the spell becomes a "bridge" linking individuals.

Rondi Park examines the extremely personal traces surrounding desires and expands the category to popular sympathy and social phenomena. The artist who collects fragments of desire seething in a capitalist society and develops them into various media - such as painting, textiles, performance, and ceramics - develops her own narrative using the constantly reproduced desires as a medium.
