Tae Woo who has shown modern landscape paintings that newly interpreted the traditional landscape paintings from the present day’s point of view. Tae Woo is well known for the works that embodied his own ‘Wayu’ landscape paintings, putting humor in the works through modern interpretation and his unique gaiety based on the thought of ‘Wayu’ meaning ‘Lying and sightseeing.’

To the artist, the mountain and the water (river) mean all the environments surrounding him, not limited to nature. The family means the artist’s inspiration, affection, and everything: The tiger in his works expresses the dignified figure of himself protecting his family. The lying bird (Nupsae) is a creative work drawn after his pregnant wife. The peach means the dream of the forthcoming conception of his daughter. At this exhibition, you can meet 25 works that contain the artist’s unique wit and humor, centering around the flowers, trees, and love for the family through which we can feel the season.
