Breath and Rest is the first solo exhibition of Kim Zigoo as a PBG exclusive artist and it metaphorically contains the small moments we miss in our daily lives like the title implies. The artist put the meaning in this exhibition that we can make us feel alive through the act of breathing, and that we can get out of the hardships of daily life for a while and find rest. Like these two simple but clear words, she asks the heavy question of how often we live forgetting that rest, and tries to convey the meaning of the connection between humans and nature, time and emotions flowing between them. She draws a utopian landscape by combining nature, humans, and the environment, and makes modern people reflect on the warmth and social responsibility that modern people miss. Her works visually express the warmth of nature and the communication between humans that we have not felt in our daily lives, and remind us that everything that exists is connected. This exhibition goes beyond the beautiful scenery and makes us reflect on our attitude and social responsibility not to lose our warmth. PBG hopes that visitors look back on the lost things in their lives through the world of artist Kim Zigoo.
Kim Zigoo explores the intricate interaction between humans and nature, creating idealized spaces that blur reality and fantasy. From an omniscient perspective, she observes landscapes where various life forms coexist, offering a unique experience akin to peering into a vast natural microcosm. Zigoo transcends mere representation, capturing utopian visions and inviting viewers to imagine coexistence beyond reality.
