PBG presents Between Days of Work, a solo exhibition by Lee Heejoh. The exhibition stems from the rhythms and emotions of everyday life that the artist experienced during a residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris earlier this year. Its title, Between Days of Work, plays on the dual meaning of the Korean word il, which signifies both “work” and “day,” reflecting the artist's life moving between labor and rest while resonating with the daily routines shared by contemporary society.

Inspired by Édouard Manet's iconic Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe (Luncheon on the Grass), the exhibition is divided into two interconnected spaces: one dedicated to work and the other to rest. The studio-like environment features colored-pencil and graphite sculptures alongside pedestals, embodying the repetitive cycles of labor and artistic creation. In contrast, a resting space composed of a grassy setting and still-life paintings evokes an intermission—a brief pause to catch one's breath amid the demands of everyday life.

Works such as Clock In(2026), Intermission(2026), and See You Tomorrow(2026) trace the rhythm of a single day: arriving at work, taking a moment of respite, and preparing to begin again tomorrow. Through these works, Lee Heejoh turns attention to the small yet deeply human moments that sustain us within the repetition of daily life. Moving beyond the personal experience of the artist, the exhibition offers a reflection on the universal rhythms that shape the lives of us all today.
