PBG is delighted to announce presenting from July 20th to August 6th, 2023. Among the four seasons, summer, with its lush foliage and vibrant colors, has been inspiring for many artists due to its outstanding passion and splendor.
Spanish-born artist Andres Lozano depicts a world of indifference and isolation through isolated characters set against daily spaces or nature. During his recent visit to Korea for Art Busan 2023, he drew inspiration from the daily life in Seoul and presents his works created during his journey at this show.
Jaemin Lee, living in Singapore, is focusing on emotions and daily life experiences of being a foreigner in another country. By using thick brushstrokes and a broad spectrum of colors, she tells personal narratives. Her series such as “Walking in the Jungle”, inspired by Singapore’s exotic nature, and “Stranger”, depicting the emotions and inner feelings of being and outsider, capture the emotions felt in everyday life.
Shanghai-based artist, Oamul, presents works exploring nature and daily life from the perspective of a traveler. Oamul records the surrounding seasons through themes of journey and city life. He expresses the beauty of the world he has experienced in his own artistic language.
These three artists, each with their own nationality and age, come together to present the vitality and energy of summer in everyday life through diverse visual perspectives. The common thread among these artists, who capture various colors and forms, is that nature serves as both the subject and plays a significant role within their respective works. Through this show, we hope to encounter a summer filled with dramatic and abundant nature as depicted by three artists.
