Lim Miryang

Korean, b. 1968

Lim Miryang presents a series of abstract and unique works that visualize movement and speed. Her artistry captures sensuous and dynamic energy through shamanistic colors and raw shapes. Im Miryang employs structural expressions that create a large flow by combining small nodes, conveying a sense of change, expansion, and infinite possibilities. The artist freely manipulates colors and forms, emphasizing the journey of discovering her own interpretation in the ever-evolving world. Notably, her works highlight the sense of visual speed and dynamics, allowing viewers to perceive new meanings. The repeated nodes in her works serve as significant elements that evoke emotions and convey energy beyond mere formal elements. Recently, Im Miryang’s collection has been acquired by the Louis Vuitton Collection in France, among many other esteemed institutions globally.
