For the artist, daily life is the collection of present moments that are gathered in the past as soon as they occur and function and are made by the future, which sweeps away the accumulated past little by little. FONDNESS, the title and theme of the exhibition, does not mean profound happiness or warmth that comes all at once but rather overlapping emotional layers of moderate joy and warmth in everyday life.
This exhibition focuses on new paintings that have become more enriched with solid moments of warm emotion. The artist drew inspiration from his own life, but in the end, it becomes the story of us all. Appreciating this exhibition, carrying and sharing each other’s fondness—that would be the art and aspiration that the artist presents to us.
